13-AUG-25 - INTERACT - 08/13/25 11:32 Bayleaf met staff at kennel with a loose body and wagging tail, was able to be leashed with no issues, and walked to the play yard with minimal pull. He played with staff and toys being very gentle and avoiding hands even when intentionally moved between his mouth and squeeky toy. He followed a passing dog around the fenceline of the yard, maintaining a loose body and wagging tail. He solicited pets and play throughout the interact, was easy to leash when it was over, and walked easily to kennel, standing to be unleashed inside kennel. -GB

11-AUG-25 - FOSTER - 08/11/25 12:51 Bayleaf is a very sweet dog. He loves to cuddle and play. He also loves other dogs and is excited to play with them! He is potty trained, never had an accident. He is energetic and has kind eyes. He loves resting his head on your lap and sitting beside his person. He is a good dog. SWS

31-JUL-25 - FOSTER - 07/31/25 12:46 Foster Note: Bayleaf is doing well so far. He is slowly feeling more comfortable and picking at his food some. He is potentially house-trained going the second he makes it outside though still learning how to hold overnight. He is being a good dog! mw

30-JUL-25 - INTERACT - 07/30/25 16:53 He greeted staff with a loose body and tail wagging he was easy to leash and walked well on the leash few times stopping by to sniff something. while in the yard he continued to sniff around, relieving himself, he knows the command sit and will approach for attention in pets. He did took a treat gently, but dropped it after having it in his mouth. he likes chasing the toys, but never actually grabbing them. He’s not interested in the pool and avoids the water hose. he likes chasing a toy around and grabs it a little, but never really holding it. He only approaches a toy if staff approaches it too, but never showing aggression behavior towards it. Bayleaf was easy to leash and easy to put back not reacting to other dogs. -AR

Pet profiles are updated every thirty minutes with the pet's status updated every fifteen minutes, seven days a week. Watch the ADOPT Tutorial Video for navigation help.

Certain pets in the care of Pet Resources and/or their records may not be available for adoption or release pending a determination of ownership rights and/or legal consent, such as during stray hold times or active abuse investigations. Please be advised that the County will maintain copies of all medical records produced while the pet was in the County’s care and custody and may release them to the public, if requested.
