06-AUG-25 - Interact - 08/06/25 11:16 Molie moved into an office for relief out of kennel. Molie was very excited to be in the kennel, was running around the room, playing and tossing her toys, and moving from bed to bed rubbing into the blankets. Molie has been having accidents in the office, but was recently diagnosed with UTI and is on antibiotics and prescription food . Molie has a lot of energy for her age and is very playful. Staff member takes Molie out to the scent garden to do run and play. Does become anxious/stressed when left alone, was whinning/pacing/pawing at the door but will be calm once staff members are in the office working. Did get started on anxiety meds and shown improvemnt on it. -KV

04-AUG-25 - Interact - 7/31/25 Per volunteer: Molie was easy to leash and walked with a moderate pull to the yard. She ignored other dogs along the way. In the yard, she was playing fetch and throwing the toys in the air. She wasn’t interested in treats, but stood next to me in the yard and allowed petting while we cooled off next to the misting fan. She went back to her kennel easily.

30-JUL-25 - Interact - 07/30/25 18:07 Molie had a dog-to-dog visit with a ~40 spayed female and her owners (adult male and adult female). Molie walked out to yard without issue and greeted at fence but did not linger. Once in yard, Molie moved quickly to greet female dog, female dog moved away and gave Molie a vocal warning, but Molie did not listen to warning and advanced to move over shoulders, DJ still had hold of leash and moved Molie away. Both dogs calmed and Molie moved in again to sniff and again did not listen to warnings from other dog, DJ moved Molie away to avoid escalation and had Molie returned to her kennel. -DJ

22-JUL-25 - Interact - 7/19/25 Per volunteer: When I approached her kennel, Molie got very excited but was easy to leash. She pulled a little at first but ended up walking easily on the leash to the play yard and she ignored all the other dogs. Once in the play yard, she was staying where ever I was. She explored the toys and ended up playing with the rope toys. I noticed if I stopped playing with her, she stopped playing with the toy and would grab another rope/tug toy and bring it over to play with me. She was not interested in treats. I was able to leash her and walk her back to her kennel without issue.

09-JUL-25 - Interact - 07/09/25 16:52 Molie was leashed easily and pulled on her way out to the yard. The yard across from her kennel was chosen due to proximity, and Molie ran around with loose body language and peed in the yard. After less than 5 minutes, Molie started panting, pacing, and nosing at the door. SB attempted to play with Molie, who would excitedly play briefly and solicit pets on the tummy, but would go back to the door or pace pretty soon after. SB placed her back in the kennel, and she was unleashed easily. Afterward, SB came into the kennel with Molie to take her picture, but the door did not latch and Molie ran out. She immediately sprinted toward the back of the shelter, toward the play yards, where she was secured. In the play yard, more secluded from the rest of the shelter, Molie had much looser posture, ran around with toys, and sniffed. She layed on the ground and chewed on a soft toy and rested her chin on top of it when she wasn't chewing on it. Molie was easily walked back to her kennel and easily unleashed. -SB

22-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/22/25 15:45 Molie greeted staff with a loose body & tail wagging. She was easy to leash but pulled while walking. Molie ignored surrounding barking dogs and continued to walk. While in the yard she sniffed around, relieving herself. All she did was sniff and when staff would try to call Molie, she did not pay attention at all. Staff did approach Molie and she accepted the pets and scratches from staff. Molie continued to ignore staff until staff held a toy and she immediately ran up to staff with tail wagging. Staff threw the toy, she chased after it and held it in her mouth. Staff touched the toy while in her mouth and she showed no signs of aggression. Molie would drop the toy and when staff went to try and grab the toy Molie would immediately run up to the toy running away dropping the toy at a different location. Molie was easy to leash leaving the toy and easy to walk back pulling the leash just a bit. -AR

18-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/18/25 14:03-Molie greeted staff member at kennel gate with loose body posture and wagging tail. Was able to leash and remove from kennel without any issues. Seemed to walk well on leash and did not seem to show interest in the other neighboring dogs. Upon entering the yard, Molie cruised around and sat down next to staff member for body pets. She stayed next to staff member throughout the interaction. Was able to place back into kennel and unleash without any issues. MS

17-JUN-25 - Foster - 06/17/25 18:26 Adventure Tail: Molie Guacamole super sweet dog. I used the doggy seat belt with her in the car. She is a puller but it definitely lessens as she gets more relaxed. We saw several dogs and she ignored some and showed some interest in others. We did several loops of the complex and stopped in the clubhouse several times. Molie loved the cool floor and also wanted pets. Offered her belly for belly rubs many times. She didn’t want to rest long and wanted to walk some more. Great dog!
