07-JUL-25 - Interact - Per volunteer: 7/03/25: Madeline (A2151827) was easy to slip leash; then stood calmly as I switched to the clip leash hanging at her kennel. She walked with a mild pull to the yard, sometimes starting to pull toward a dog; being easily redirected with the leash. She quickly ran to get a toy and run the yard. She played a number of rounds of fetch; sometimes having her drop before throwing another one and other times having her drop and sit for a treat first. She started out a little rough taking treats; so switched to having her sit calmly first. She played with all toys, showing no preference. She enjoyed running and exploring the garden; especially climbing the waterfall. She stopped by often for pets, enjoying them all over. She walked with a minor pull back to her kennel, ignoring dogs.

01-JUL-25 - Interact - 6/27/25 Per volunteer: Madeline was jumping in the kennel when I saw her, but she was easily leashed. She had a mild pull on the way to the play yard and did tend to pull towards other dogs in kennels. As soon as the gate opened she did a few zoomie laps in the yard. Then we started playing with the hose, which she was very interested in. When it was all over, we were both soaked. Madeline takes treats gently.

27-JUN-25 - Foster - 06/27/25 09:50 Adventure Tail: Madeline was so sweet and appreciative to get out of the shelter life for the day. She road in the back of Jeep very well, coming up periodically for kisses. We walked around Armature works. It was a busy day there. We walked by kids, adults, strollers, people with big equipment- she just minded her own business, enjoying all the smells. We saw several other dogs and she whimpered and wagged her tail tugging slightly. However, she was not reactive in any way and was easy to control. She’s got such a great personality and was living and pretty chill. She definitely liked walking and was great company. Madeline would be a loyal companion for anyone willing to love her.

25-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/25/25 12:08-Was able to leash and remove from kennel without any issues noted. Seemed to walk well on leash. Veered towards neighboring dogs but was able redirect attention. Madeline cruised around yard and then sat down next to staff member for pets. Took treats gently and seems to understand “sit”. Was able to place back into kennel without any issues noted. MS

23-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/23/25 15:51 - Madeline ran to the front of her kennel with wiggly body language and a wagging tail, and was easy to leash. She charged out of her kennel and walked with a strong pull, attempting to run at the dogs she passed in the kennel on the way to the play yard. Once out in the yard, she immediately got the zoomies and ran several laps around the turf. Madeline was easy to recall and solicits attention for petting, and once tired out sat by the handler's feet and watched the dog in the yard across from us with forward ears and soft, open mouth. She walked with a strong pull back to her kennel, lunging at dogs in the kennel along the way. She was easy to release and lock into her kennel. - LB

04-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/04/25 11:27am: PER VOLUNTEER Madeline got up and came to the kennel door but did need clip leash when coming out of kennel. She walked with a mild pull, not close to other dogs. She picked up a toy after entering the yard, running and playing on her own; as well as playing fetch with different toys. She jumped up to sit on the ramp, responding to both treats and toys when prompted to sit. She enjoyed getting pets; while mostly wanting to run and play. She listened well and was very playful. She walked with a very minor pull back to her kennel.

Madeline had loose posture in the yard and played with toys a little. She had some interest in the splash pad. Madeline was very focused on the hose and would chase the water around the yard. 12-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/12/25 15:21 - Madeline greeted staff at the kennel door with a loose body and wagging tail. Allowed elashing with slip lead and then waited patiently while staff attatched clip leash to her harness. She walked with a hard pull only when reacting to dogs barking at her from kennel. At times she would try to steer towards them, but was easily kept close to staff. In yard she was a dream having a loose body and wagging tail solicitng attention off and on from staff. Madeline fixated on neighboring staff member and dog at times running up and down fence line with other dog. She was redirected by staff each time and conitnued to solicit attention even sitting in staffs lap. Unleashign was uneventful, was able to undo clip leash in kennel without her trying to push her way back out of kennel. She went inside and drank water. MC
