25-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/25/25 16:38 easy to Leash strong pull loose body posture throughout. Allowed pets from staff cruised around play yard. No problem returning to kennel. LM

25-JUN-25 - Interact - 6/24/25 Per volunteer: Nate walked with a hard pull to the yard. He played with several stuffies, tearing one apart. He would fetch and return them. Nate would always trade the toys for a treat. He allowed for good all over pets.

30-MAY-25 - Interact - 5/29/25 Per volunteer: Nate was easy to leash and unleash. He pulled heavily to the yard. He chased after stuffed squeaky toys. Nate solicited attention constantly and allowed pets all over. He had loose posture. Nate knows "sit". He got nippy when excited. He walked back better with a harness wrap.

08-MAY-25 - Behavior - 5/7/25 Nate was easy for a training volunteer to leashed then he walked with a heavy pull. In the yard, he had loose posture and stayed by staff and volunteer. He solicited petting and allowed petting all over. Nate is treat motivated and knows "sit". He climbed on the ramp and playfully chased the volunteer around. Nate was returned with a harness wrap and was easily unleashed in the kennel. -CR

04-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/01/25 Per volunteer: Nate pulled hard on the leash on the way to the garden. He chased toys and returned a few until he found one that squeaked. Then he sat down in the shade and squeaked the toy. He accepted pets while he squeaked the toy, eventually pulling the squeaker and stuffing out of the toy. He pulled hard again on the way back to the kennel.

30-APR-25 - Interact - 04/30/25 17:06 Nate was jumping at the gate when staff approached. He was easy to leash but pulled heavy. He was easily corrected when the staff put the leash behind his ears and he walked with no pull the rest of the way.He did have slight interest in the other dogs but was able to be quickly pulled away. In the yard he sniffed around at first and then spent the rest of the time leaned up against the staff for pets. He sat for treats and took them gently. He was easily returned to his kennel and walked back with no pull. -ZM

28-APR-25 - Interact - 04/28/25 09:49: PER VOLUNTEER Nate had loose body posture making it easy to leash with no issues. Whille walking through the kennels he did moderately pull on the leash. Once in the yard volunteer gave a quick pet then after that he began soliciting for attention & treats. He seemed to do better taking treats when a command is given. Volunteer did play fetch with Nate, & give tummy rubs. Volunteer had no issues walking back to kennel or unleashing in kennel.

23-APR-25 - Interact - 04/23/25 15:53 Nate greeted staff with loose body posture, he was easy to leash. However he tugged on the leash a lot. While walking, another staff was passing by with another dog and neither of them lunged or growl, both had loose body posture and walked pass with distance. In the yard Nate sniffed everything, He takes treats aggressively so staff had to give him treats with their palms. Nate allowed pets and scratches all over. He was easy to leash again and easy to walk back. When in his kennel staff member walked by with another dog and Nate did bark at them. -AR

16-APR-25 - Interact - 04/16/25 17:11 Nate was easy to leash but had a strong pull on the way to the yard. He was not reactive to the other dog barking from their kennels. He played with the squeaky toys and is treat motivated. He knows "sit". After zooming and sniffing around for a bit he had slightly less pull on the way back to his kennel. He was easy to unleash. AG

11-APR-25 - Interact - 4/10/25 Per volunteer: Nate was easy to leash and pulled pretty strongly on the way to the yard, ignoring the other dogs. He immediately ran for the toys. He chased after and played with all the toys I threw him and preferred the squeaky toys. He knows how to sit for treats and can be a bit of a rough treat taker. He allowed for all pets from head to tail often. He pulled pretty strongly on the return but was easy to unleash.

26-MAR-25 - Interact - 03/26/25 17:23 Nate greeted staff member at kennel gate with loose body posture. Was able to leash and remove from kennel without any issues. Observed that Nate pulls hard on leash. Upon entering the yard, Nate became excited and ran around the yard. He allowed all petting and handling from the staff in the yard. Was able to leash and place back into kennel without any issues. MS

25-MAR-25 - Interact - 03/25/25 15:21 Nate was easy to leash but had slight difficulty removing him from kennel as he was really excited. He pulled really hard on the way to the play yard. Once we got to the play yard, he ran around for a bit and sniffed around. He eventually went potty. He seemed curious when he saw people walk by and he would run up to the gate to interact with them. He solicited for attention and pets which I obliged to. He seemed to enjoy chin scratches the most. Was able to return to kennel and unleash without issue. AW

Pet profiles are updated every thirty minutes with the pet's status updated every fifteen minutes, seven days a week. Watch the ADOPT Tutorial Video for navigation help.

Certain pets in the care of Pet Resources and/or their records may not be available for adoption or release pending a determination of ownership rights and/or legal consent, such as during stray hold times or active abuse investigations. Please be advised that the County will maintain copies of all medical records produced while the pet was in the County’s care and custody and may release them to the public, if requested.
