19-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/19/25 08:59: PER VOLUNTEER Delta was easy to leash, initially walking with a strong pull & then easing up as we turned toward the play yards. She sat patienlty at the gate to be leashed. Once in the yard she sniffed around & then solicited for pets and gently took a couple treats. She chased toys and played a couple gentle tug games with a rope toy. She played in the kiddie pool, blowing bubbles in the corner. She followed volunteer to the garden, running and exploring. She climbed on the waterfall ledge, ran across the bridges and came up for pets and treats. She walked well with a minor pull back to her kennel.

19-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/19/25 09:03: PER VOLUNTEER Maserati was easy to leash and walk to the play yard. Once in the yard she ran over to the toys, choosing one to toss as she ran and to bring over to play fetch. She did well with sit and stay commands. She showed good improvement on sitting and taking small bites of treats more gently as we practiced. She solicited volunteer for lap cuddles for a few minutes. She enjoyed exploring and sniffing about the garden. She found a toy in the plants, running the yard happily and bringing it over to show me her find. She was a little hoarse; so walked her back to her kennel on a clip leash. She stood calmly for pets & treats when removiing leash at kennel.

13-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/13/25 15:35 Delta was laying down on the outside of her kennel when staff approached. She quickly ran up to the gate and began barking to be leashed. She was easy to leash, had a strong pull, and had no reaction to the dogs in passing. When she got to the scent garden, she ran around and did her own thing. She only came over to the staff a few times but did not want to be pet. She spent the majority of the time sniffing around and exploring. When the staff got up and walked toward the gate she ran over from across the garden and patiently waited to be leashed. She pulled hard toward the cats she saw under the cars in passing but was able to be pulled away. She was easy to return and walked with no pull back to her kennel. -ZM

07-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/07/25 15:27 Walk only Delta was standing calmly at the door when staff came up to the kennel. She was easy to leash and had a strong pull. Delta did not show any reaction toward other dogs. She did not eat Milk Bones. In the parking lot, she dashed in the direction of a few cats that were under vehicles, and became fixated on those cars. She was easy to return to her kennel. -KR-

29-APR-25 - Interact - 04/29/25 15:22 - Delta ran to the front of her kennel and jumped on the gate while barking, but was not difficult to leash. She charged out of the kennel with raised hackles and wagging tail, and walked with a hard pull out to the AD play yards. Once out in the yard she ran laps with a wagging tail before sniffing and marking. She did not solicit attention and would not take treats, and she was not interested in the sound of a squeaker. Delta became fixated at the fence line when another dog entered the adjacent yard for a meet and greet, and she play bowed while whining at the fence. She walked with less of a pull back to her kennel and was easy to return and lock in. - LB

26-APR-25 - Foster - 04/26/25 12:47 Adventure tail: Delta did so good today! She was a little nervous in car at first as expected but quickly got comfortable! I took her to health mutt where she got a bath! She then picked out a toy & cookie then we headed to our next stop! We went to bass pro shops so she could walk around inside & she laid down whole time in the car. After I got her a treat which she loved! She’s an absolute angel of a dog, she walks great on leash, would look to me when she wanted a water break & loved everyone she met! She does show interest & slightly pull when she sees another dog but can be easily redirected! She’s such a sweet girl I hope that she finds a foster or adopter soon!

16-APR-25 - Interact - 04/16/25 17:20 Delta was easy to leash but had a strong pull on the way to the yard. She zoomied all over the yard and played with the soft squeaky toys. She was treat motivated and knows "sit" She walked with less of a pull on the way back and was easy to unleash. AG

09-APR-25 - Interact - 04/09/25 16:13 Took pet out for easter photoshoot. Pet was excited upon kennel approach, jumping up to leash at times. LR waited for all four paws on the ground, then was able to loop leash over head. Once out, pet walked with a heavy pull out to the play yard. Once in yard, kept drag leash on pet as she explored and relieved herself. Then walked inside with pet for photos, again pulling while passing other dog kennels. Once in room for photos, pet was good handlers and accepted pets and treats, eventually sitting in CWs lap for photos. Walking back to kennel, pet pulled towards other dogs barking but LR maintained distance from other kennels and pets attention was redirected easily. Returned to kennel without issue. -DJ

29-MAR-25 - Interact - 03/26/25 15:52 Delta was excited and wiggly making it slightly difficult to leash. He had a strong pull on the way to the yard. Once in the yard he zoomed around and played with the soft squeaky toys. He wasn't very treat motivated but did appear to know "sit". He was easier to walk back and unleash. AG

24-MAR-25 - Interact - 03/24/25 16:13 - Delta ran to the front of her kennel and jumped frantically at the gate while whining. She was somewhat difficult to leash and exited her kennel with a strong pull. She walked with a slight pull out to the front play yard, where she ran around and explored with a soft, open mouth and wagging tail. She did not solicit attention, but was very playful in the pool, play bowing, chomping, and digging in the water. She walked with a slight pull back to her kennel and was easy to release and lock in. - LB

10-MAR-25 - Interact - 03/10/25 Per volunteer: Very excited, jumping at kennel door as I approached. Nuzzles head into leash and walked nicely to yard ignoring barking dogs. Ran to all toys until she found favorites, squishy & squeaky. Engaged herself throwing toys to catch & retrieve. Sat upon request and gently took treats. Enjoyed petting head to toe. Gentle walk back to kennel.

05-MAR-25 - Interact - 03/05/25 14:34 Per Volunteer: Delta was very easy to leash and walked well on her leash to the yard. He was very playful, prancing around the yard. He loved the pool, getting in and laying down to splash and cool off! After cooling off he came out and picked up the soft toys and ran around with them, tossing them up and catching them or pouncing on them when they dropped. He also fetched the toys when I threw them. He was playful and relaxed in the yard and easy to return to his kennel.

Pet profiles are updated every thirty minutes with the pet's status updated every fifteen minutes, seven days a week. Watch the ADOPT Tutorial Video for navigation help.

Certain pets in the care of Pet Resources and/or their records may not be available for adoption or release pending a determination of ownership rights and/or legal consent, such as during stray hold times or active abuse investigations. Please be advised that the County will maintain copies of all medical records produced while the pet was in the County’s care and custody and may release them to the public, if requested.
