23-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/23/25 16:00 Per volunteer: Gibby was easy to leash, but he had a pretty strong pull on the way to the yard, ignoring the other dogs along the way. Gibby solicited for lots of pets from head to tail. When I would stop petting him, he would stand by and look back at me until I continued petting him. He wasn't interested in the toys. Gibby is treat motivated and knows how to sit and shake for treats. He takes them very gently. Gibby matched my energy - when I would run around, he would do the same. Gibby listened well when it was time to go back. He did have a strong pull on the return and was reactive to some of the dogs. He was easy to unleash his kennel.

07-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/07/25 14:42 Gibby greeted staff at kennel door with a wagging tail. He was easy to leash and walked well to the play yard. When in the yard, he seemed to have no interest in toys but solicited attention from staff. Gibby practiced basic commands (sit and paw). He did fence fight on the way back to his kennel. -NS

30-APR-25 - Interact - 04/30/25 17:19 - Gibby greeted staff at the kennel door with a loose body and stood quietly while staff leashed him. He walked with a little bit of a pull to the AD yard. In the yard he sniffed around for a bit. He came over and solicited attention from staff allowing them to pet him all over. He knows “sit”, “paw”, “down” and takes treats very gently. He wasn’t really interested in the toys that were in the yard. He was no issue returning him to his kennel. BP

28-APR-25 - Note - 02/22/25 11:03: Apartment is too small and seems to be giving anxiety and it appears he prefers outdoors. Unsure about children but does well with adults. Loves treats but not so much toys. Prefers to be outside, likes to cry if not let outside. Seems to be defensive with other dog, but could be due to ear infection. Unsure about cats. Foster thinks he would do best with access to yard or outdoor space since he seems to have anxiety.

17-APR-25 - Interact - 04/17/25 14:24 Per volunteer: Gibby was easy to leash. He walked well to the play yard without much pulling and showing little reactivity to other dogs. In the yard, he immediately came over for lots of pets from head to tail. He stood still against my legs when I stopped petting him. He is very treat motivated and knows how to "sit", "shake", and take treats gently. Gibby was not interested in the toys. In the garden, Gibby did a little exploring, but mainly he stayed close by. We went for a walk around the parking lot and he walked well on the leash with minimal pulling and easy steerability. On the return to his kennel, Gibby moved towards a couple dogs, but was easy to redirect. He was easy to unleash in his kennel.

03-APR-25 - Interact - 04/03/25 15:48 Gibby approached the gate and was high energy, but relatively easy to leash. He showed some signs of reactivity toward other dogs when leaving the kennel, but was easy to redirect. When in the yard, Gibby solicited attention, showing relaxed behavior (panting, ears relaxed, tail wagging), and responded well to treats. When returning to kennel, he showed more signs of barrier reactivity, but was returned to the kennel without issue. -CB/KR

31-MAR-25 - Interact - 03/31/25 16:14 Gibby approached kennel door with loose body language. Gibby was easy to leash and walked with a slight to moderate pull. On the trip to the yard, he ignored other dogs. However, on the return trip to his kennel, he reacted to the dogs that were barking at him In the yard, Gibby walked the perimeter a few times before staying next to staff for the remainder of the interaction. He constantly solicited attention, muzzling staff's hand when staff stopped petting. Gibby rolled over for belly rubs and stayed on his side for a considerable proportion of the interaction. He mostly ignored treats in the yard. He appeared to understand "sit" and "shake/hand". He was released to his kennel without difficulty. -KR-

26-FEB-25 - Interact - 02/26/25 14:11 Gibby was easy to leash but lunged at several on the way to the play yard. Once inside he would frequently solicit affection and pets by climbing up on staff and leaning on them however he yelped whenever staff touched his ears. Gibby sat and gave paw when asked and was extremely treat motivated. Gibby spent most of his time soliciting pets from staff and allowed handling all over excluding his ears. On the way back to his kennel Gibby attempted to fence fight multiple dogs and was not easily redirected, staff had to place Gibby between and legs in order to walk him back to his kennel without any incident.
