Hello i am stella, i am good with children and adults, but not with dogs. I am calm and laid back, but i can be nervous and timid, more so at the vet. I am good on leash, in the car, in a fenced yard. I have seperation anxiety, i love my chew toys.

09-JUL-25 - Interact - 7/8/25 Per volunteer: Stella was easy to leash, sitting patiently at her kennel door. On the walk to the yard, she would frequently walk slowly to sniff her surroundings and would sometimes stop. Once in the yard, she sniffed around for a little, but was not interested in toys, treats, or the pool. She is very lowkey and would just hang around, sometimes coming up to me for pets all over when called. During our time in the yard, she would get startled by loud noises but wouldn’t notice them if I was talking to her. She was easy to return to her kennel and took many treats once back inside her kennel.

30-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/30/25 16:37 Patient was brought to Vet Serives for a work up exam. Stella was waiting in her kennel upon approach with a relaxed body posture. Stella was very hesitant walking through doorways and would "pancake." Tech used vocal encouragements and Stella would follow the tech through the doorways. Stella allowed all handling for exam. Stella's nails were overgrown and due to PRC's case load, a nail trim was not attempted at this time. Recommend following up with primary vet and sent patient's animal ID to volunteer services for next nail trim day. Stella was returned to her kennel with no issues. JER

26-JUN-25 - Note - 06/26/25 15:20 Hello my name is Stella and I am being surrendered due to not getting along with the other dog in the home. I was in a home with two small children and did great with them and I am good with adults and I am more on the calmer laid back side, but I can be timid and nervous at first. I do love chewing on my toys and playing outside, I also love to stay close by my people and get anxious when they're away. I am great on the leash, good in fenced yards, good in the car, and I get nervous at the vets office. I would do best in a home with no other dogs-bc

14-MAR-25 - Observed - 03/14/25 08:59 During walk through this AM, I observed Siesta trembling sitting on the side of her kennel. When I bent down and attempted to call her over, she continued to shake and stay in the same spot. JH

13-MAR-25 - Outcome - 03/12/25 11:46 adopter identify (P1368193). IF 03/12/25 15:15 called per JB, asked if he had any other dogs at home due to the pneumovirus & he said no. He wants A2441038 as soon as possible -dp ***INFORMATION IS FOR ANOTHER DOG _ DISREGARD*** 03/12/25 15:34per JB, contacted adopter & had text convo with p1368193. Was offered a PRC 7 day hold period due to having another dog at home & potential pneumovirus spread. He said they still will take A2441038 despite the pneumovirus threat. Adopter was told that A2441038 currently doesn't show symptoms of pneumovirus but that we'd send them home with a script in case she shows symptoms following pickup. Also told him that PRC will not be responsible for his currently owned dog getting sick and that he must go to his own vet for services if it were to happen -dp 03/13/25 14:37 Adopter P1368193 changed his mind about the adoption WF

08-MAR-25 - Note - 03/07/25 11:10 Sissy was very shut down during intake. She didn't move at all or react to staff picking her up and carrying her. She allowed all handling. She did not walk at all on a leash and had to be picked up and put into a wheelburrow to take her to her kennel. - JP Renamed from Sissy to Siesta.

Certain pets in the care of Pet Resources and/or their records may not be available for adoption or release pending a determination of ownership rights and/or legal consent, such as during stray hold times or active abuse investigations. Please be advised that the County will maintain copies of all medical records produced while the pet was in the County’s care and custody and may release them to the public, if requested.
