29-MAY-25 - Interact - 5/28/25 Per volunteer: Pop was jumping in the kennel, but once out had perfect leash manners! He walked to the play yard with loose leash, with no reaction to dogs barking at him. In the yard he was relaxed, coming over to me for petting and rubs and treats. He was calm but interested in his surroundings and easy to return to his kennel.

07-MAY-25 - Interact - 5/6/25 Per volunteer: Pop was jumping a little but he was perfect once on the leash with no pulling or jumping. He relieved himself as soon as he got outside. He was walking with a loose leash and steady pace the whole time. He also relaxed into petting on his soft ears and down his back, leaning into me and resting his head on me.

03-MAY-25 - Foster - 05/03/25 18:12 Adventure tail: Pop is great! We started our day by going to Hillsborough River State park. Pop needed assistance getting into the car because he's a little short for mine but he tried! He rode in the car like a champ! He sat still and watched out the windows. He stood up and peeked out the top twice when we were stopped. He gave no issues when seatbelting or picking him up from the belly to get in the car. He jumped out by himself when we got to the park. He immediately started sniffing and found the trail. He was good with all the dogs we passed. He allowed for pets all over him by myself and the other passer-bys. We stopped twice to take a break since it's hot out. He drank nicely from the bowl and nosed the bowl when he wanted me to pour more water. He walked great on the leash with only minor pulling a couple times but a majority of the time he was a strolling sniffer! While we took a shady break to beat the heat, he LOVED the inside ear rubs and I even got some happy leg kicks out of him! He allowed belly rubs and rolled around in the dirt/sand. He did well to stay on the trail and didn't vear off. He checked up on me a few times to make sure I was still staying with him. He got a pup cup and he loved it! We ended our day at bass pro shop for some AC. He laid down and rolled around on the floor giving shoppers some giggles and he got pets so he was happy. He did snuggle into my lap and pushed my hand to his head for pets. He was able to get out of the car himself each time. Pop is a sweet soul and seems to love just being included. I would say a short to medium walk with plenty of sniffing would keep him happy, along with pets, treats and some snuggles from his human.

02-APR-25 - Interact - 04/02/25 11:15 Pop was easy to leash and remove from kennel. We walked to the play yard where he went potty first. After sniffing around for a good while he walked up to me and have me a kiss which signaled he wanted attention. He solicited for pets and seemed to enjoy butt scratches and rubs the most. I tried to see if he wanted to play with toys, but due to his limp, he didn't seem interested. He gave me a few more kisses before we returned to his kennel. He was easy to unleash. AW

18-MAR-25 - Interact - 3/17/25 Per volunteer: Pop was standing calmly when I approached. He was a little timid with leashing, and his tail was tucked. Once leashed, he walked calmly and had a loose body posture. We went to the scent garden where he explored. He did not seem very interested in toys. He did come over to me and allowed petting, but remained somewhat aloof. We walked around the parking lot then back to his kennel where he was returned without issues.
