04-AUG-25 - Interact - 7/31/25 Per volunteer: Morpheus stood quietly to be leashed, walking close to me to the yard. He played fetch and chased toys, dropping them to fetch again. He did well in training and was gentle with treats. He played in the pool between playing with toys. He explored the garden. He came up each time I knelt down to sit with me getting pets; then off to play again. He walked well with me back to his kennel.

31-JUL-25 - Interact - 07/30/25 Per volunteer: Morpheus wan easy to leash and walk to the yard. He spent most of his time exploring the yard. He chases squeaky toys and enjoys treats.

10-JUL-25 - Interact - 7/7/25 Per volunteer: Morpheus was easy to leash, walking well beside me to the yard. Once in the yard, he grabbed a toy to run around tossing and playing. He came over to play briefly in the hose spray, the splash pad and then in the pool. He did well in training and was gentle with treats. He enjoyed pets all over and gentle ear rubs. He explored the garden and swam in the garden pool. He recalled well, stopping for pets and a treat each time. He took a break in the shade, cradling and playing with a toy. He was comfortable with me kneeling beside him, giving him pets while he played with the toy. He leashed easily and walked well back to his kennel.

07-JUL-25 - Interact - 6/27/25 Per volunteer: Morpheus was easy to leash. He fetched and chewed on toys the majority of the time in the yard. He was easy to return to the kennel.

03-JUL-25 - Interact - 7/1/25 Per volunteer: Morpheus was watching and chasing a lizard around the perimeter of the yard. He spent some time chasing a tennis ball. He returned it most of the time. He solicited a few pets with a heavy lean.

25-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/25/25 15:20 - Morpheus ran to the front of his kennel when approached and jumped up on the gate while barking, and was not too difficult to leash, though he will attempt to run the gate. He walks with a moderate pull, and once out in the play yard sniffs and explores with relaxed body language. He will take treats and is a surface scrounger. For most of his time out, he would occasionally approach and sniff the handler, and did have one moment where he solicited attention for petting with a wiggly body and tail wag. He was appropriate with toys and likes to play tug. Morpheus walked back to his kennel with a moderate pull and was easy to release and lock in. - LB

25-JUN-25 - Note - 06/24/25 13:32: Adopter stated there was one instance where he growling at father in the house, he mentioned he was taking a toy, so it may have been resource related. Did well around children and adults. Anxious in car. No accidents in the house.

18-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/17/25 Per volunteer: Morpheus was very energetic and playful. We spent a lot of time playing fetch with a tennis ball. He waded in the pool a little. He allowed pets all over, occasionally seeking them out with a solid lean.

03-JUN-25 - Interact - 06/03/25 13:00 Per volunteer: Morpheus was easy to leash and he walked with a medium pull, ignoring the other dogs along the way. He came into the yard and picked up a tennis ball and started chewing on it. He chased after it and returned with every tennis ball I threw him. Morpheus knows how to sit for and take treats gently. He would allow for all pets from head to tail, but did not seek them out, as he was mainly interested in laying in the yard and chewing on a tennis ball. Morpheus was easy to return to and unleash in his kennel.

29-MAY-25 - Behavior - 05/29/25 Morpheus was changed from "social" to "selective" for shelter playgroups due to him not listening to cues from other dogs and being over persistent with humping. -CR

23-MAY-25 - Interact - 5/22/25 Per volunteer: Morpheus was a little hesitant about the leash. He allowed leashing once I stepped in. He sniffed around mostly. He would trade affection for treats. Knows sit.

21-MAY-25 - Interact - 05/21/25 15:59 - Morpheus ran to the front of his kennel with a wagging tail and jumped up on the gate, though he was head shy for leashing and attempted to jump up on the handler and run the gate. Once leashed he gave no issues and was also good while removing the leash from around his neck once out in the scent garden. He sniffed and explored the play yard with relaxed body language and did not solicit attention. He does not appear to have a good recall and remained aloof, but will take treats and is very food motivated. He walked with a moderate pull back to the kennel and was easy to release and lock in. - LB

20-MAY-25 - Interact - 5/19/25 Per volunteer: He avoided leashing at first but took treats nervously. I entered the kennel and he became more friendly but still avoided the leash. Once leashed, he exited and walked well with a mild pull straight ahead. He had loose body language in the yard. He solicited pets with a hard lean. He didn't have an interest in toys. Knew sit.

Certain pets in the care of Pet Resources and/or their records may not be available for adoption or release pending a determination of ownership rights and/or legal consent, such as during stray hold times or active abuse investigations. Please be advised that the County will maintain copies of all medical records produced while the pet was in the County’s care and custody and may release them to the public, if requested.
