26-MAY-26 - Interact - 05/24/26 14:07 Per Volunteer: Martin was easy to leash and walked out to the yard with a moderate pull. Once in the yard he sniffed and explored around with a relaxed body. He leaned in for pets from head to tail with a loose body. He showed some interest in toys but didn't pick them up. He takes treats gently and knows how to sit. He walked back to his kennel with a slight pull and was easily unleashed. - CL

20-MAY-26 - Interact - 05/20/26 12:45 Staff was able to leash Martin easily and he had a moderate to strong pull to the play yard. Martin slowed his pace for a while to sniff the ground but started to pull again as we got close to the play yard. In the play yard, Martin immediately relieved himself before sniffing around the yard. Staff threw a couple toys for Martin but he did not seem interested in them. For the rest of his time in the yard, Martin stood by staff and accepted pets all over. Martin had the same moderate pull back to his kennel but did try to pull towards other dogs' kennels this time. Staff got Martin back in his kennel easily and unleashed him without issue. RP

13-MAY-26 - Interact - 5/11/26 Per volunteer: Martin was easy to leash, walking with a mild pull to the yard. He leaned on me for a pet as I put on his clip leash. He did a quick tour of the yard; then came up for affection. He briefly ran around in a light spray from the hose; then went off to sniff. He chased a toy; then lost interest, coming back instead for more pets. He was more animated in the garden, running, sniffing and playing; while coming by often for pets. He walked close on a walk in the lot and was easy to return to his kennel.

11-MAY-26 - Interact - 05/02/26 Per volunteer: Easy to leash and relieved himself several times as soon as we got to the yard. He was energetic, running around playing with a loose body. I couldn't interest him in toys but he stayed near for petting (after running around) and had a loose, wiggly body when I petted him.

06-MAY-26 - Interact - 05/06/26 11:48 Martin was waiting in the exterior of his kennel during initial cleaning when staff came by. He had loose body language and was easy to leash. He walked out with a moderate pull to the yard. In the yard Martin sniffed around a lot before coming over to staff to solicit pets on his back with loose posture and a wagging tail. Martin was not interested in the toys and instead ran around the yard or observed those who passed by. He was selective of treats and did not take any from staff. Martin continued to run around for the remainder of his time out. He walked back to his kennel with a slight pull and was easily unleashed. -JG

29-APR-26 - Interact - 04/29/26 17:03 - Martin met staff at kennel gate with loose body and wagging tail, standing to be easily leashed. He initially walked with a hard pull, but gradually settled to a more moderate pull as we left the kennel area. Once in the yard, Martin hung out near staff as he sat on the bench, allowing pets all over. Staff tossed some toys and Martin would chase after them but leave them on the ground as he caught up to them. A couple other staff members and dogs were walking out in the lot beside our yard and Martin began to fixate on them, running back and forth along the fenceline, and then began jumping at and appearing to attempt climbing a tree in the yard, and staff blocked Martin from making any progress before slipping the lead back over his head. Martin then settled back down by staff and allowed pets while on lead, but began whining and pulling towards the fenceline again, and was returned to his kennel with a moderate pull, standing to be unleashed easily. -GB

23-APR-26 - Interact - 04/22/26 15:32 I took Martin out to meet with a volunteer group. Martin was excited when I approached the kennel and was jumping up on the gate. I waited for him to settle down and then was able to easily leash him. He walked with a medium pull on the way to the volunteer group. Once with the group he eagerly ran from person to person getting pets. After the interaction, he walked well back to the kennel with just a medium pull, but was interested in the other dogs as we passed by. He was easy to place back in the kennel and unleash. - CL

05-APR-26 - Interact - 03/30/26 Per volunteer: Martin (A2505440) was easy to leash, walking to the yard with a moderate pull. He ran to the toys, picking one up to run around the yard, tossing it in the air. He came to me, dropping it and sitting for a treat, taking it gently. We played a few games of fetch and some tug. Martin jumped up on the ramp, sitting for pets and treats. He also leaned on me for pets all over. He explored and sniffed in the garden between coming up for more pets and treats. He also ran and played with a toy he found. He walked with very little pull on a walk in the lot and when going back to his kennel.

03-APR-26 - Interact - 04/03/26 17:24 Martin was laying down in the interior of his kennel when approached by staff. He was easy to leash and walked with a hard pull on the way to the yard. No reactivity to passing kennels/dogs. He spent a very long time in the yard just sniffing around at first. Came when called and allowed pets all over. He solicited attention often from staff. Martin then got very playful and ran all around the yard with staff. Chased toys thrown but did not retrieve. He was very interested in the dogs walking by the yard on their way to playgroup, running up the the fence with a loose body and wagging tail. Martin spent the remainder of the time in the yard getting pets from staff. Easy kennel. - AH

01-APR-26 - Interact - 04/01/26 17:28 Martin was in the exterior of his kennel when staff approached. He had loose body language and started doing light taps with his paws on the ground. He was easy to leash and walked with a moderate pull to the yard. In the yard Martin roamed around sniffing and solicited pets from staff. A dog entered a nearby yard and Martin fixated on the dog. He began whinnying and pawing at the gate. Staff would call Martin over but he would eventually go back. He began running back and forth while whinnying at the other dog. Staff was able to grab a hold of his leash with him following shortly after. Once exiting the yard Martin pulled in the direction of the dog and began whinnying again. He walked with a heavy pull to his kennel and allowed for easy unleashing. -JG

18-MAR-26 - Interact - 03/16/26 Per volunteer: Martin came to the gate and wagged. He pedaled his front paws but waited for the gate to be opened and was easy to leash. He went to the yard with a moderate pull. He sniffed around the yard and then came over for a few pets. Treats were offered and he took one gently, but then just laid it down on the ground and continued standing for pets. He ran over to the fence when there was activity outside the play yard, but he didn’t bark or go into a tense posture. He began exit seeking towards the garden when he saw another dog walking in that direction, so we went through into the garden. He sniffed around a few of the plants and nibbled a few as well. He was easy to leash and went back through into the play yard and then to his kennel with just a moderate pull.
